White Sandwich Bread, Milk, Sugar, and Saffron are the key ingredients of this shahi tukra recipe. 

Ingredients

Heat milk. Add saffron, and cardamom. Simmer over low heat. till it becomes thick and creamy. 

Step 1

Add sugar to the thick milk. Stir to dissolve. Rabri is ready for shahi tukra. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Remove the edges of the bread slices. Cut each bread slice into two equal halves diagonally.

Step 3

Arrange the bread slices in a baking tray. Bake them till they turn crisp.

Step 4

Pour rabri over the bread slices. Bake in the oven for 6 – 10 minutes in the middle rack.

Step 5

Fry mixed nuts and dried fruits in ghee for adding to the  shahi tukda as a topping.
