Chilli Mushroom

White Button Mushrooms are the key ingredient in this sweet and spicy Indian Chinese gravy recipe. 

Ingredients

Coat mushroom in corn starch, salt, red chili. Use water to form a batter. 

Step 1

Use only 1 - 2 tablespoons of water to make marinade stick to the mushrooms.

Step 2

Fry marinated mushrooms in hot oil till crisp and golden from all sides.

Step 3

Soak dry red chili in hot water. Blend chilies with soaked water, ginger, garlic, onion, and tomato ketchup to a smooth sauce.

Step 4

Heat oil in a wok. Add chopped ginger, garlic, red chilli, and onion. Stir fry over high heat for 1 minute

Step 5

Add white vinegar, soy sauce, and the homemade chilli sauce, and bell pepper. Stir to combine. 

Step 6

Add corn starch slurry. Stir gravy continuously to avoid any lump formation.

Once gravy starts thickening, add crispy mushroom. Mix. Turn off the heat.
